David Rossignol seems habitually to wear one of the biggest smiles in Burgundy. And well he might. The estate unites the Trapets of Gevrey and the Rossignols of Volnay, and brothers Nicolas and David took the helm in 1990. Since then, the domaine has followed a similar trajectory to a number of now-familiar names; rising from being an interesting source of good value Burgundy to producing wines that sit confidently alongside the benchmarks of their climats.
